As a founding steward of the Grammy-nominated outdoor arts organization Living Earth and former Events Director at dublab, his work is rooted in Los Angeles, its urban ecology and public spaces, its interdependent arts movements, and its local artists.
His experience as a producer is complemented by his background in economics and the sensibility that comes with being a working musician-composer. He holds a B.A. in Music and Economics from UC Berkeley, where he studied composition at CNMAT.
His music has scored installations and films featured at Ars Electronica, City Digital Skin Art Festival, and Aspen Shortsfest, and he has performed with ensembles everywhere from The Broad to The California Botanic Garden. His debut solo EP, In Mind, is set to release December 4th via Los Angeles experimental mainstay Leaving Records, and features a collection of improvised music for double bass.

Led on-site production for a multi-year, bi-weekly, airport-wide public arts and music program delivered in partnership with Los Angeles World Airports as part of a $1MM programming contract. Responsible for production planning, technical advancing and execution, oversight of onsite crew, management of onsight A/V equipment, and security compliance across multiple terminals.

Led technical advancing and pre-production of 11 non-traditional performance stages in the LA Central Library to celebrate its centennial. Curated and booked 4 DJ sets and a video installation piece. Expanded budget by over 40% over previous year.
Challenges

- Flexibly adapting to last minute updates from artists’ technical riders
- Seamless handoff of technical advance info to on-site Production & Rentals Manager

- Directly contracted a team of over a dozen technicians, managed subrentals to supplement internal A/V inventory
- Regular meetings and collaborative production documentation with Production & Rentals Manager to setup a seamless day-of execution.

With Chelsea Anderson (Getty Research Institute Programs Specialist), co-curated a day of music and poetry inspired by “The Scores Project”. Paired 5 musicians with 5 poets for first-time collaborations + two hybrid poet/musicians, and 2 dublab DJs. Free program reached capacity and marked two consecutive years of programming collaborations between GRI and dublab.
Challenges
- Carefully pairing artists who had never collaborated before, setting them up for success
- Dealing with unpredictable weather
Solutions
- Facilitated meetings and rehearsals for artists along with a visit to the GRI’s Special Collections for a viewing of archival material led by GRI curator Nancy Perloff
- Adapted day-of show to unpredictable weather by relocating the performance to a weather-proof site

Hosted a full day of panels and workshops with People’s Soundsystem at dublab, featuring words from Bae Bae, Zack Fox, Walela Nehanda, LA Tenants Union, Jasmine Nyende, and many more arts community and nightlife leaders.
Challenges
- Building a facility rental agreement to support a high quality experience within a grass-roots budget

- Developed a bespoke, collaborative rental model
- Personally volunteered labor as an A/V technician to keep the venue rental within budget
- First event of its kind reached 80% capacity, received highly positive community feedback, empowered dublab resident organizers

- Mapped out all cable runs during site visits, created setup documentation for artists and crew to rely on, led onsite production to ensure consistency with client-approved plans

- Producing a donor-oriented event in the midst of hiring for the next Executive Director
- Selling $150 tickets without direct outreach from Executive Director

- Personally sold 30% of tickets via direct out reach to my network, and by selling packaged tickets to brands and institutional partners. Created a $50 ticket tier to allow dublab residents and community to support.

Produced the first-of-its-kind, multi-partner, night time cultural takeover of the Los Angeles Central Library, integrating live performance, DJ sets, and installation across a historic civic site through 5 simultaneous activations in unconventional performance spaces. Successfuly proposed 2 live performances, 4 DJ sets, and an immersive multimedia installation, while also providing the A/V infrastructure for programming booked by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. Event reached 3,000 person capacity and dublab was called back the following year at a 40% increase in budget.
Challenges:
- Providing the technical infrastructure for 5 unconventional spaces with distinct technical and operational needs, while keeping the production in budget
- Managing 5 simultaneous activations and integrating our own curation and creative ideas.
- Designing and installing a sound system in the library’s reverberant atrium for an experimental opera produced by LA Phil Insight.
Solutions
- Carefully curated technically streamlined programming to fit the theme of the event while allowing us to focus on the technical demands of the Library Foundation’s bookings.

Floating was a weekly all-ages arts series that explored the harmony between sound & setting through intimate outdoor musical gatherings.
In addition to weekly gatherings that encouraged people to contemplate what it means to belong to an ecosystem, our programming supported a funded seasonal artist residency that explored the relationship between process and environment, as well as land residencies produced in reciprocity with local conservationists and arts communities that fostered a deeper connection between people and land.
Over 400 gatherings in 2 years.
Over 300 musicians.
Over 10,000 attendees.
Managed partnerships with The MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Hollyhock House, The Audubon Center at Debs Park, Arlington Garden, and more.
In early 2024, our team parted ways with Floating to found a worker-owned collective called Living Earth.
