Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Sunday Sessions featuring dublab and Salon Recordings

When Gloria Molina Grand Park (GMGP) reached out to us to collaborate on their next installment of Sunday Sessions, their dance party that centers the new wave of House music DJs and producers in Los Angeles, I knew Damar Davis and Salon Recordings had to be involved. It was a privilege working with Damar and bringing out a multigeneratational community to celebrate the pioneering work of Salon Recordings in connecting global dance scenes from LA to NYC, London, and beyond.

Floating

Floating was a weekly all-ages arts series that explored the harmony between sound & setting through intimate outdoor musical gatherings.

We nourished symbiotic relationships among kindred artists, environmental organizations, and unique land projects with the goal of inspiring deeper interdependence among our local communities, cultures, and environments.

In addition to weekly gatherings that encouraged people to contemplate what it means to belong to an ecosystem, our programming supported a funded seasonal artist residency that explored the relationship between process and environment, as well as land residencies produced in reciprocity with local conservationists and arts communities that fostered a deeper connection between people and land.

In bringing people together over forward-thinking musical performances, we explored the intersection of music and ecology, envisioning art and performance as integral to the landscape of social organization, all while rehabilitating our relationships with nature and ourselves.

Over 400 gatherings in 2 years.
Over 300 musicians.
Over 10,000 attendees.
Managed partnerships with The MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Hollyhock House, The Audubon Center at Debs Park, Arlington Garden, and more.

In early 2024, our team parted ways with Floating to found a worker-owned collective called Living Earth.

Teammates included Noah Klein, May Rose Smeback, Massima Bell, Nina Keith, Sam Lee, and Light Liu

Floating: The Front Range

I worked with Matt Sage to support the foundation of a new branch of Floating in The Front Range. I opened relationships with several locations for programming: Sunset Amphitheater, Inspiration Farm, and the Rocky Mountain Botanical Gardens. These relationships helped Matt’s curation and creative direction flourish. I supported the series’ promotional and operational needs from Los Angeles.

Summer through winter 2023

Floating: Portland

I worked with Ajay Ravi to support the foundation of a new branch of Floating in the Pacific North West. I opened a relationship with the Leach Botanical Garden for programming directed and curated by Ajay. I supported operational and promotional needs of the series from Los Angeles.
