Tate Egon Chavez is a composer, curator, and arts programmer based in Los Angeles. His work fosters curiosity, experimentation, and inclusivity, bringing together musicians, designers, engineers, and community partners to realize thoughtful programs.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Singapore, Tate brings a multicultural perspective to his work, celebrating the convergence of diverse communities around shared goals. His artist-first approach is shaped by his own experience as a composer. He holds a B.A. in Music and Economics from UC Berkeley, where he studied composition at the Center for New Music and Audio Technologies (CNMAT).

Tate has been a key organizer in Los Angeles’ experimental music ecosystem, co-founding Living Earth (formerly Floating) and facilitating Listen to Music Outside in the Daylight Under a Tree before joining dublab as Events Director. His compositions have been featured at Ars Electronica (2016, 2019, 2021), Singapore Inside Out: Tokyo, and numerous film festivals. His dual role as musician and organizer continually informs his approach to producing artful gatherings.
